Well, I don’t think anyone has lived in this house since Aristotle was a lad. This is certainly a project to take on but…the land, the views, the location all make it a mouth-watering prospect. It’s a traditional shepherd’s house which has been extended. It all requires complete and full renovation. It appears the roof has been replaced relatively recently. There’s potential to extend upwards with the correct permissions. The land is lush and verdant, the views exceptional. The plot is located off a river bed road though raised so no danger of flooding. Both Skala Eressos and Eressos are within easy reach.
There’s a lot of scope with this land from creating a wonderful outdoor dining/ entertaining space to establishing a gardener’s paradise. How about placing a yurt for a tranquil meditation/writing/yoga space. The list is endless. If it’s a project you have in mind, this may well be worth a look. To quote the great man himself, ‘the whole is more than the sum of its parts’.
Stone built, traditional shepherd’s cottage. One side of the house has a mezzanine. Amazing views from here. This is where you would extend up. To the side of the house is an extension, this has been used as a kitchen. There’s running water and electricity to the building, reconnecting will be straightforward. The land is good-sized. It’s currently full of grass, wild flowers, olive and fig trees. There’s a combination of chain-link fencing and stone walling securing the plot. Some original wall remains close to the house. There’s also an outbuilding.
