This is a typically Eressian house but larger than average with a possible 4 bedrooms. As is often the case, it needs completely renovating but has genuine potential. If you’re prepared to invest the money, you will have yourself a grand house with bags and bags of character. It’s situated within easy walking distance of the village and is only 4km away from the wonderful beach resort of Skala Eressos.
Downstairs are two large rooms divided by an entrance hall. Both have been used for cooking (one would have been used for cooking fish) the larger one of the two is flooded with natural light. It needs completely ripping out but will make a superb kitchen/diner. Doors leading onto the garden would go well here for that all important al fresco dining. I’d consider a wood-burning stove too, that would make for a cosy, winter room.
Opposite is a further room, again this has been used as a kitchen and is now used for storing expired white goods. It’s large enough to use as a sitting/living room. Throughout the house are oil-fired central heating radiators and whilst they need replacing, these will be worth their weight in gold in winter and well worth the investment. It gets cold here!
Bathroom. Along from the entrance is a bathroom in need of complete renovation but it’s a great size. Centrally heated….. now that’s a bonus.
A wooden staircase leads to a large and bright landing area with the 3/4 bedrooms leading off. There’s also a small staircase which leads down to a separate entrance. There’s a grand feeling to the upper level of this house due to its size and ceiling height. There’s lots of natural light flooding the area too. It’s really easy to imagine what could be achieved here.
The largest of the rooms could readily be divided into two, stud wall erected and hey presto. Both rooms will have a large window in each. Alternatively, keep it as one large bedroom with more than enough room for an en-suite or even completely separate, second bathroom.
The other bedroom would be large enough to serve as a further double. The final room was locked as the current owner is using it for storage. Perfect as a single bedroom or office space.
All the flooring to the upper level is wooden.
Each room is equipped with central heating, ceiling lights and wall mounted lighting.
Outdoors:
It’s not the biggest garden I’ve seen but perfectly adequate. It requires a little attention and fashioning a paved terrace will improve it significantly. It’s very private and sheltered. To the rear of the garden is an apothiki (shed to you and me) housing the oil tank. Again that ‘p’ word…potential. Integrate it as part of the house or extend the garden. It would also provide great storage. Requires some attention to ensure it is watertight.
The roof to the house is new and the shutters appear in good condition. Ample parking 25m away.
